Four-member ballad group '2AM' is back with a 3rd full length album 'Let's talk' (notice: 2AM and 2PM are two different groups from the same agency- JYP Ent.)...

Members said that this album has the most emotional and sentimental songs (comparing to the songs on previous albums), and they explained the meaning behind the album name - whoever listens to their album is 'talking' to them through music :). Even though they're ballad singers, they're extremely funny and amusing guys - the cutest- when they tease each other. During the group hiatus, all members do activities outside of a group (variety shows, dramas, solo songs, musicals...). 

Now, onto the new songs! 2AM released two MVs for two touching songs:

The lyrics are beautiful. Their voices are perfect for this autumn weather!(MVs are autumn-appropriate too)

Title song - 'Over the destiny'

'Days like today' - It makes me sad... but in a good way... 

Aaaand... 3rd time in a row (this month I think) - I'm reviewing Super Junior's MV (wow, they're on fire/promote with no regrets :))

Actually, ahmm.... 'Evanesce' is a nice song, but that set looks familiar...? Oh, yeah...it's the one from 'This is love' music video(??!!??!!)...A little bit ruined tho - but still the same. I guess, that wasn't love after all...(do you get it - this is love - not(cuz of the new mv...)(what a joker, ha...). What can I say - same old SM Ent. formula - recycling.

In this one, members showed their acting skills - on that side - I think they did a pretty good job...Eunhyuk and the girl dance part - smooth. Still can't decide - Leeteuk or Donghae?....

I just CAN NOT end this weeks Kpop Thursday without mentioning Epik High's new awesome songs... That group/this album is a treasure find, believe me! (*another post content - spoiler)

'BEAST' boys are back with a Special 7th mini album 'TIME', and with an MV for the title song - '12:30'. Earlier this year they made a comeback, and this (gift)album took me by surprise, but I like it. The songs are quite emotional, and the members voices makes them even more enjoyable. As for the title track - I get it, harsh break up story, again... but, MV- why u so dark? My favorite member, Doojoon got a lead role in this video, but rather than a normal guy, he seemed a bit psycho-tic...and  that's not what I expected... The point of the lyrics is that the two grow apart from each other, and now they are like clock hands at 12:30 - with their backs turned against each other, looking at different places...
I can't stop wondering - why the heck is the girl shoeless at 2:06 (it might be because of the height difference...), and who(why) is that topless drummer(there)?  Dance and clothes (especially shoes) - flawless! I think it's safe to say now - Hyunseung is my second favorite member of Beast(read coat)...There, I said it. :)

And then...(was it)Yesterday or two days ago?! BTS surprised us with a music video for 'War of Hormone'. Awww, those cutie pies - how adorkable. I was rofl when I heard the song for the first time (long, long time ago, cause it's a song from their latest album). The lyrics are so immature, h/corny and (someinternettrollsaresaying)slightly offensive towards the girls (...and the boys - cause  they're implying that all boys are dumb)... BUT, realistically, it's all from a teen-boy perspective - typical teenage thoughts - we've all been teenagers...so keep calm... (blame the hormones)

Again, I like the fashion style they're rockin. Those outfits are cute. And video theme/idea is pretty cool - zoom in, zoom out, zoom in, zoom out - on repeat + kind of one take technique. Choreography is my favorite part.  Poor trio - Jin, Jimin(!) and Jungkook - are having hard times with those bikes...But how can you resist those smiley faces :) Let's take a moment to appreciate their honesty and straightforwardness!

Who is next?...

Oh, yeah...Super Junior released MV for one of the songs from their newest album (if you remember from one of previous *KpopThursdays*, I've reviewed their title song  'Mamacita'). Obviously, they decided to continue promoting this album with a video for - 'This is love'. Apparently, black and white (with a pinch of red) is a trend going on in kpop music videos lately... Pardon my eyeroll (it's starting to annoy me) 

SUJU are using a range of props for the choreography this time - chairs, standing mics... And (ofc) they're in a BOX, and (ofc) it's a 'one shot'(one take) video (SM Ent - I really think it's time for some(anykindof) change). Chorus is quite catchy: This is love, this is love...... Can't decide - Leeteuk or Donghae...hmm? tough decision 
(update: suju released 7th full length special edition album 'THIS IS LOVE' - it has 9 tracks that were already released previously, there are 3 new tracks, and 'This is love' remix for a total of 13 songs...ok, then)

Few days ago, out of nowhere, I reviewed Epik High's 'Born Hater' - As I said before, that song is not a title track... This one is. 'Spoiler' (plus spoiler for the other song 'Happen Ending') is totally different from Born Hater. Here we have three members singing/rapping in the background, looking good, and two actors playing/telling the story. The lyrics are from a guy's perspective - he's not sure -(what the two have)is it love or nothing at all...Mature lyrics - as expected(read here). Everyone can relate. 

I've said it before, and I'll say it again - Epik High - I LOOOVEEEE!

ONE EPIK COMEBACK! KHIP-HOP!

Ok, I feel the urge to present you one of the greatest alternative (k) hip hop group from Seoul, South Korea, and it's amazing comeback song! (it's not even a title track, it's a pre-release track...amazing shizzz!!!)
The group 'Epik High' is composed of Tablo, Mithra Jin and DJ Tukutz. The boys debuted back in 2001, and they're still active. From 2012 this group is under (one of the biggest labels in music industry of S.K) YG Entertainment. They're legends, and you'll soon discover why...

The song "Born Hater"(says) is everything kids these days need (to hear)...literally.
As I said before - hating is STUPID, unnecessary, and meaningless. Being Hater is your choice...(and again) - it's a stupid one. PERIOD. That's the message of  'Epik High's comeback song.

What's even more impressive is that amusing (full of symbolism) MV. This is one extremely good-excellent-outstanding collaboration-song.

Must watch. Now!

Tablo is Pride - he's dissing previous great artists.. (Dali, Van, Picasso and others..(fun fact: 'Dali, Van, Picasso' is a name of one of Beenzino's songs)

Beenzino is Sloth - he's not doing anything, he just seats, fishes...

Ok, osećam da moram da vam predstavim jednu od najboljih alternativnih k hip hop grupa iz Seoula, Južne Koreje, kao i njihovu odličnu povratničku pesmu!!! (čak nije ni naslovna, već pred-izdanje pesma...dobra stvar!!!)
Grupa Epik High sastoji se od tri člana: Tablo, Mithra Jin, i DJ Tukutz. Momci su debitovali davne 2001. godine, i još uvek su aktivni. Od 2012. godine grupa je pod (jednom od najvećih kompanija muzičke industrije u J.K) YG Entertainment-om. Legende su, a uskoro ćete i otkriti zašto...

Pesma 'Born Hater' (Rođen (kao) hejter) je sve što je današnjoj deci potrebno (da čuju)...bukvalno..
Kao što sam i ranije pisala - mržnja je GLUPA, nepotrebna, i besmislena. Sam biraš da budeš hejter, (i ponavljam) to je glup izbor. TAČKA. To je i poruka teksta Epik High-eve comeback pesme.

Ono što je još impresivnije je zabavan (i pun simbolike) spot. Ovo je jedna vrlo dobra-odlična-izuzetna kolaborativna pesma.

Može li se ovaj čisti dečak (čistač nereda ostalih) odupreti izazovima?...Ko zna...

Tablo je Gordost - sa visine govori o velikim umetnicima (Dali, Van, Pikaso i ostali...zanimljiva činjenica: naslov jedne od Beenzinovih pesama je 'Dali, Van, Pikaso'...)
Beenzino je Lenjost - on ništa ne radi, samo sedi, peca...
Verbal Jint je Požuda - gleda časopise za odrasle...
Mithra je Proždrljivost - oko njega hrana, tone pice...

RED LIGHT...OK?

Another Thursday, another Kpop story to tell.

This time... I've waited for the comeback that has been scheduled for today, so that I could give you my very first impression of it. Ahmmm...I'm still confused, but let's jump into it.

So, there is this 5 members girl group - f(x)...Yeah, like math...Anyway, they made their comeback with a song "Red light". Few minutes ago (literally) I watched live performance of the song, and now...I'm like....the f... did I just saw. The concept of it, it's pretty much...confusing. Everything is black, or red - the stage and the outfits. By the way they move and look at the camera, they look strong and fierce...like some kind of a girls gang, or Warriors from the future...(???) Idk 

I was distracted by the choreography (or should I say - by their movements, cause there aren't some crazy dance skills shown - that is why I was slightly taken aback), so I didn't paid  much attention on the lyrics.

I decided to search for the translation of it...and....end up thinking - the f...did I just read!... Still confused. The lyrics have no meaning at all. Or maybe, I just can't understand the symbolism and all that crap. 

And finally, there is the MV that I haven't watched yet! I'm gonna do it right now...and then I'll say what I think about it. Crossed fingers that I'll be able to comprehend what on  Earth is their concept. Here we go!

.............O.k.a.y.............ammmmmmmm....I like the outfits (suits and uniforms-nice). Also the accessories - those cute head..things(?), and hats too... Haircuts and colors are cool. Music(?)....ok, I guess. Liking the chorus part, but it looks like the song is made from 4-5 different songs, it flows awkwardly. It's not catchy at all.

Still have no idea about what they're talking/singing, what's the actual message of the song. The black cat and the black telephone are probably some kind of symbols of evil that they are surrounded by, or attracted by or will be attracted - if they pick up the phone... I DON'T KNOW...REALLY..THERE'S NO REASON FOR ME TO KEEP THINKING ABOUT IT, CAUSE I'M NOT IMPRESSED BY THIS, OBVIOUSLY. Maybe for a day or two (a week) it will grow on me...but now...the answer is - NO. F(x) can do better. They changed somehow, from cuties to warriors, which is ok, cause they're older now, but I'm not sure that this is the right song for comeback. 

A little bit disappointed.
